Mosher's Utopia

A wave of cymbals crash around,

Pedal, tom and snare blasts below,

A loud cheer, a unanimous sound,

Hark, the metalheads echo.

Horns thrown up, the crowd cheers,

amplifiers roar- not for sensitive ears.

The riffers move forward, the crowd harmonize it,

Spontaneous collisions creating the pit.

The ongoing madness,

the impending fatality seems frivolous,

the repetitive thrusts of arm and head,

In conjunction with be quick or be dead .

A burst of energy,

Blood and adrenaline,

fueled and incited,

by the art of ruin.

The worshipers spread out,

The pits amass,

Riff, triplets and fills,

the sounds of hourglass.

A change of band,

There is no one Jah,

For even metal has it's many deities,

such as Opeth, Gojira and Meshuggah.

Godhead's lament,

Open hi hat flow,

As a cry comes creeping in,

The Akerfeldt bellow.

The minions cry out for more,

Moments like this never seen before,

Gutteral and woopecker double bass fleetness,

Master's apprentices.

Gojira next on line up,

The Andreu experience,

Promises the moshers,

A brutal trip To Sirius.

Encapsulated in dust,

Hair, horn and the cries of the faction,

Lifted up and airborne,

The world in oblivion.

A temporary pause,

Crowds halt as one,

Till the peak of amplifiers is heard,

A sudden rush - Backbone.

Bleed, Soul burn, Combustion,

Meshuggah's contribution,

Wacken's participants engage,

Dancers to a discordant system.

Alas, the end beckons,

Shoved back into reality,

Bloodflow retardation,

The fantasy meets cessation.

Nothing lasts forever,

A fix that ingrains,

The delirium may die temporarily,

but the memory remains.
